Automation for ecommerce brands

Business automation for ecommerce brands

Dravik builds automations for ecommerce and DTC brands with 20 to 500 people: order exceptions, inventory sync across channels, returns, support routing and wholesale orders. It runs on Shopify and the apps you already use, and you own it. It starts with a $199 fixed-price audit: a 30 minute call plus a written plan.

The problem

Where the hours go in ecommerce brands

A growing ecommerce brand sells through its own store, Amazon, a few wholesale accounts and maybe a retail partner, with a 3PL or warehouse shipping all of it. Each channel has its own inventory count and its own orders. The operations team spends its days reconciling them and fixing the orders that fall between.

The leaks are familiar. An item sells out on Shopify while Amazon keeps taking orders. An address fails validation and the order sits until a customer complains. Returns are approved in one app and refunded by hand in another. Wholesale buyers email purchase orders that someone types into the system. Support answers where is my order all day.

What we automate

Workflows worth automating for ecommerce brands

  • 01

    Order exception handling

Orders with failed address validation, fraud flags, out of stock items or unusual quantities are caught as they come in and routed to a person with the reason attached. Clean orders flow straight to fulfillment. Nothing sits in a queue until a customer writes in asking where it is.

  • 02

    Inventory sync across channels

Stock levels from your 3PL or warehouse system update Shopify, Amazon and wholesale portals on a schedule, with safety buffers per channel. Low stock alerts go to purchasing with sales velocity attached, so reorders happen before a bestseller goes out of stock.

  • 03

    Returns and exchanges

Return requests are checked against your policy, labels are generated, and the warehouse is told what to expect. When the item is received and inspected, the refund or exchange is issued and the customer is notified. Finance sees every return logged against the original order.

  • 04

    Support routing and order status

Incoming emails and chats are tagged by topic, order status questions get an automatic answer with live tracking, and messages about damaged items, chargebacks or wholesale are routed to the right person. Agents spend their time on the conversations that need a human.

  • 05

    Wholesale and B2B purchase orders

Purchase orders that arrive by email or spreadsheet are read, matched to wholesale price lists and created as orders for the warehouse. The buyer gets a confirmation, invoices go to the accounting system, and the account manager sees open orders without asking operations.

  • 06

    Post-purchase and review requests

Customers get delivery confirmations, product care tips and a review request timed to when the product has arrived and been used. Customers who report a problem are sent to support before they are asked for a public review, which keeps your review flow honest.

The business audit

Your stack

Built on the tools ecommerce brands already use

Ecommerce stacks are built from many apps that each do one job, and most have APIs or Shopify Flow support. We use Shopify Flow where it is enough and add a separate automation layer where it is not. The 3PL connection is usually the weakest link, so we check its API or file feed early and design around what it can actually send.

Where we start

What the audit looks at first

The audit looks at where orders, stock and returns are touched by hand. We trace one problem order and one return through every system and note where someone had to step in. A common first build is order exception routing or inventory sync with Amazon, because both protect revenue and customer trust on the busiest days.

Automation questions from ecommerce brands

Is Shopify Flow enough, or do we need more?

Shopify Flow handles a lot of store-level automation well. It gets harder once Amazon, a 3PL, wholesale and accounting are involved. We use Flow where it fits and add another layer only where you need it, so you are not paying for complexity you do not need.

Can you connect our 3PL to Shopify and Amazon?

Usually, yes. Most 3PLs offer an API, a portal integration or scheduled file exports. We check which one yours supports during the $199 fixed-price audit and plan the inventory and order sync around it, including what happens when the feed is late.

Will automated support replies annoy our customers?

Only if they answer the wrong question. We automate the narrow cases where the answer is a fact, such as tracking status, and route everything else to a person. Customers get a faster answer on simple questions and a human on the rest.

Do we own the automations if we stop working with you?

Yes. Everything runs in accounts you own, with documentation for each workflow. If you stop working with us, it keeps running and your team or another developer can change it.

How much does automation cost for ecommerce brands?

It starts with a $199 business audit: a 30 minute call plus a written plan of what is worth automating. If something is worth building, you get a fixed price for it before any work starts, and you own everything we build.
